Things done well
My teammates and I prepared well and provided substantial content. We managed to explain everything in a clear and logical manner.
Problems identified
Our group rehearsal helped us identify areas for improvement and gather feedback. For instance, our content exceeded the time limit of 20 minutes, showing a need to condense our parts to fit within this timeframe.
Additionally, my speech lacked fluency, prompting me to dedicate the remaining time to practice and boost my confidence for the official pitch.
Things done well
There were several positive aspects to my performance. I managed my time effectively, maintained appropriate eye contact, and used hand gestures to engage the audience. My tone was well-received, enhancing the overall clarity of the presentation. The visual aids in my slides were also eye-catching and helped the audience understand my points.
Rooms for improvement
However, there were areas that could be improved upon. At times, my speech was not as fluent as it could have been, and I found myself using filler words. Additionally, I could benefit from a more thorough memorization of the ideas I wanted to present to ensure a smoother delivery in the future.
Key takeaways
Regarding my takeaways from the pitch, I learned how to succinctly communicate key information about our business proposal. I improved my confidence and public speaking skills, including my pacing, tone and body language. I also learned how to effectively use visual aids to enhance my presentation.
To learn from others, I would like to evaluate the performance of my teammate, Cici.
Things done well
Cici presented with confidence, showcasing her professionalism. She used a variety of hand gestures to emphasize points and captivate the audience. She maintained good eye contact and used appropriate pacing and pauses, helping the audience fully understand her ideas.
Recommendations
Cici could benefit from appearing more relaxed during her presentation. Also, while her slides are already quite effective, making them a bit more streamlined could make it easier for the audience to follow.
